What’s important with a piece of paper around two inches by 3 inches in measurement? It does a lot if you know how to use it properly! It can mean an increase in product sale, a new acquaintance, an additional client number for future referrals and many more! Yes, business cards are commodities of today especially in the business world. Even political figures, church ministers, teachers, independent writers, and business entrepreneurs can attest to the importance of this small piece of paper.
When I was given the chance to attend a Mission exposure in Indonesia, one thing I noticed after the last service we had with the parents, elders, pastors and church members are the exchanging of business cards to maintain contact and communication with friends and expand our network for future mission exposures. I for one received at least six business cards from my friends during the two-week missionary work in Jogja, and Bandung, Jakarta. I felt its importance since I need to be in touched with those friends too. I might as well find a cheap business card printing printing and order at least a hundred pieces. You just do not know when an opportunity knocks and you must be ready to hand that piece of card to somebody.

Congratulations to the Philippine's Nonito "The Filipino Flash" Donaire, the reigning IBF Flyweight Champ, reigning IBO Flyweight Champ and the current WBA interim World Super Flyweight for successfully defending his title against Mexican boxer Herman Marquez last July 10, 2010 in Puerto Rico. You made us proud to be Filipinos! continue to raise the Philippine flag with hope and victory. We salute you!
It's his first State of the Nation (SONA)address and President Benigno Aquino's speech was brief, simple, understandable (spoken in Tagalog). We as Filipinos are very hopeful that those promises made must be given a focused attention so as not to be thrown again in the garbage of forgetfulness and broken dreams. But above all, Filipinos must be hopeful to their God Who alone sets up Kings and people in authority. Yes, the hope of the Philippines is no other than Jesus Christ alone. Let's continue to pray for Pres. Benigno Aquino's administration that they will be guided by the Almighty with wisdom to propel our nation to greatness with God as our solid foundation.

The crocodile Island 300 meters away from Boracay.. It is here where we had our snorKeling. And yes! we found Nemo! ahahahhahahaha....
At last we are Home! Our 4-day vacation in the Island Paradise of Boracay was such an enjoyable and memorable experience for both of my wife and me. It was our first time to be on the most sought beach destination of most of the foreigners in South East Asia. Everything was first ....like our first time to do helmet diving, snorkeling, boat boating, parachuting, speed boating, Island Hopping.
It was also our first time to stay on a pricy hotel...I do not know if it's a 5-star hotel but the accommodation feels like one. The room is spacious and complete with ref and flat screen TV. The bed and the bed sheets were very comfy that it feels like wrapping yourself all day is enough . The bedroom dressers and wardrobe cabinets are eye catchers because they were a combination of drift wood and modern metal.
My wife just can't help thanking me for the birthday get-away we had in Boracay. Thank God for the opportunity to unwind and experienced the amazing adventures in Boracay. Of course we will be be back next year.. with the kids!

Accidents do happen. Playing with my friends in a carefree way , running and fooling around on a road filled with crushed gravel wasn’t really a good idea. I slipped and banged my head on a sharp stone. I was in shocked feeling the blood trickled from my forehead. I collapsed a moment later and did not know what happened after wards. When I woke up my forehead was bandaged and my Dad told me that the doctor have to do a minor stitching to close the wound.
As of this writing, I can still feel the big scar due to that accident. I am thinking of undergoing a scar removal to erase it. When people would ask about this scar, I would simply say “its a part of fashion” . How I wish I could afford a Scar removal procedure. Here in our place it would cost much. And I would have to bear this mark on the positive note. Letting me remember of the goodness of God in my life. Better to have a scar on my forehead and be alive than without s scar and be dead... Lol!
WOWOWEEE!!! Yes if only you could take a peek and read what’s in my mind and heart! Coming July 21, me and my darling loveydove (that’s what I fondly called my wife) will be celebrating her 43rd birthday in Boracay! Yes, indeed! That Paradise island famous worldwide for its white beaches and clear blue crystal waters. Thank You Lord for giving us this gift of going to this place. If it’s not of Your grace in our lives, it would be impossible for us to spend a wonderful vacation here. Woooohhhhh! I’m so excited that I couldn’t contain it. We would be staying in a first class hotel and would try going undersea (for the first time) in a diver’s suit...LOL! we would surely not forget this birthday gift God gave us.
And to the love of my life...many women do noble things, but you surpass them all. You too are God’s gift to me. You complete me. I love you always and forever. Happy, Happy Birthday.

This month is our Youth month at the Blessed Hope Christian Community Church, International. Spearheaded by the no-nonsense leadership of Mark Mabanta (BOB – Band of Brothers) and Ms. Julie Ann Tan (F4J – Femmes for Jesus), the young people hopes to convey a message to all that in order for us to move forward serving the Lord faithfully, we must put a “GAME OVER” to all other things that will hinder us in following God. Things like: complacency, compromise, laziness, ungodly activities and deliberate disobedience must stop. Serving God is not a game but a whole hearted commitment. So guys, let’s all join forces and support our Youth month for the glory of God!
How about the T-shirt printing? Have you given your T’s and pay for the printing? Why not join the campus visitation at MUST, CU, XAVIER, and Puntod National High School? It’s a lot of fun and a blessing to your Christian life too! And hey, join us also in the presentations for the coming Youth Sunday. Just contact Joshua, Johanna, the Jackie’s (May2x and Dak2x), Lloyd, Yan, Jonathan, IJ, Jet2x, Robert, Keena, Apple, Macon, Karren and all other youth leaders for updates. Let’s quit playing with God and go down to serious yet fun and blissful service to Him. Go, go, go guys. The church leadership is backing you up. God bless you BOB and F4J!

JOHN MAXWELL’S MILLION LEADERS MANDATE
This is now the last of the series of John Maxwell’s Million Leaders conferences held here in Cagayan de Oro City. The training will start on July 15-16, 2010 at the LimKetKai Mall, Cinema 4. This training will be attended by church leaders from all over Mindanao and even some from the Visayas. We are excited to learn again powerful insights from the INJOY team and be able to share and apply it to our leaders in the church. God bless the INJOY team and all who will attend tomorrow’s training.
HERE COMES THE RAIN AGAIN...
Here comes the rain again...those were part of a very popular song in the late 80’s. As of this writing, the Philippine archipelago is being hit by the second typhoon to visit us this year. Code named “Basyang”, flights from Mindanao, and the Visayas going to Manila were cancelled due to heavy rains and poor visibility. Hoping and praying that God will spare the people of Luzon from tragedies. We are praying for them.
Yes! We all enjoyed that movie! Karate Kid...and what a remake it was! Jackie Chan and Jaden Smith did a superb team-up in that movie. It was a mix of drama, thriller, love story, comedy, and of course action rolled into one. For me, it was like walking back the memory lane when I first saw the Karate Kid movie. For my son, it was a different experience for him. He felt the pressure of a teenager portrayed by Jaden. Having transferred to a new school himself. My daughter and my wife shared a light moment during the kissing scene by the young actors. They both giggled at it.
Remembering the movie we saw, I have this idea to present a special number for our coming program for the the kids. We have been doing a Weekly children school for the poor but deserving kids in our area and we want them to have the best time of their lives during their graduation. And what I mean with this special number is to let them see a real boy portraying the Karate Kid with of course a Karate Kid Costumes. Or maybe present a number with boys wearing Karate Kid costumes with me acting as Jackie Chan! I think that would be fun! LOL!

Aaahhh…those cheap laptops are just getting my attention now. For quite a long time, I’ve been dreaming of having one even if it’s a second hand unit. With my schedule of lectures piling up, I felt the need of having one workable laptop to prepare in advance all my lecture data, which come in handy, if ever I have one. Going window-shopping at the computer shops with my wife would only strengthen my desire to buy those displayed brand new ones. However, I have to consider our budget too. A new one today with all those needed stuff and with the right specs will cost us at least P27, 000.00 and that’s quite expensive for me to consider.
We’ll, I just consoled myself to waiting for the right time when we can set aside enough money to buy a new one. Maybe a year or two, that laptop model I want would have a lesser price then. That’s when I thought of finding a site where second hand laptops are for sale online. Here in the Philippines, one of the most notable website when it comes to that is AyosDito.ph. That is where you can see me browsing and searching for a possible buy & sell items especially cheap laptops and other items worth my investment! You can try this at home and you will be amazed seeing those for sale items from Farm lots, gadgets, mountain bikes, cell phones, cheap laptops… to just anything at a lesser price, plus your assurance of the right item delivered to you. Visit AyosDito.ph now. For me, it’s the online buy and sell authority here in our place.

She might have forgotten it but my wife have the gift of singing...yes,it would sound as if I’m bragging but I have to tell the truth. Last Wednesday fellowship, she sung a very touching song that reminded all of us to always be in the Lord for how can we last a day without Him?
Yes, I thank God for that gift He gave my wife. I’m so blessed hearing her soothing voice singing for the Lord after 19 years. She really thought that she’s not fit to sing again since she just focused on here office works and have not sung with the choir again. But, God works in mysterious ways at time. Given the chance to sing again was just a wonderful reminder that God’s gift to each one of us must be used for His glory alone.
