Our church was designated as the Command Center for Kagay-an Evangelicals

It has been 8 days since the killer flash flood hit our city but until now we still do not have water and electric power. Our house haven’t been totally cleaned, it’s still muddy . The whole city looked gloomy, debris everywhere but it’s heartening to know that relief goods are sufficient to address the needs of the evacuees . Our church has been designated as the Evangelical Relief headquarters of Operation Blessings, Philippine Relief and Disaster Services and other Non-government organization. Basic needs such as foods, medicine, mats and blankets were already given to victims. Speaking of mats, I remember our  yoga mats which was washed –out by the flood. I  bought  them  a week before the tragedy. Now, it's gone....

Originally worn as undershirts, t-shirts have come a long way since their birth in the late 19th century. They’ve evolved greatly, now used as a means of expressing oneself. Current market trends have proven tees to be the most widely used despite the presence of avant-garde, slick, chic pieces. This is  because of comfort they bring to those who don them and the affordability of the items. They come in variety, a miscellany of prints and a wild contrast of colors. Example of these are funny t shirts which are now quite popular—a bunch of online entrepreneurs live off by selling their funny “designer” tees. A lot of people nowadays, especially teens, use t-shirts to express their wit, originality and cluster. Even organizations express their group  advocacy through t-shirts. This made me think: they certainly make for a good Christmas present.

Why it is that during weddings, the attention of the crowd are focused on the bride? Often times the the groom is demoted as the background! People tend to put less emphasis on what he will wears while we scrutinized the design, textile and even the price of the bride's gown. Maybe because we men are just simple beings. Even when selecting for wedding rings for men, we opt for the simpler design. We are straightforward and uncomplicated.. while women can flaunt in every details of their being. We are rational while they are emotional. We are created to compliment each other.

Gold…gold…gold…those were the words I heard from a friend who’s into gold mining. He’s still new with this kind of business but he’s very optimistic that someday their group would hit the jackpot. The mining site is quite far from where we live but our friend would travel 7 hours just to visit the site. He said that their business partners have investors lining up to buy gold at Golden Eagle and it would be a no time that they will reap the fruit of their labor. We are hoping that our friend will have success in this new found business of his. Good luck Bro!

We will have to prepare an office of the Youth in our church. We have already cleaned a room and we are all excited to set our office tables, chairs, bookshelves and pictures on the wall. One member of the youth core group jokingly suggested that we would buy a ps3 hard drive in our office! That would be a different scenario then. Our office will be converted to a gaming station if that’s the case. But definitely we are going to have a Wireless Broadband set up so we could have an internet access and use it for researches and to contact our friends abroad. I can not wait for the Youth Center to be finished!

Chocolates! Our daughter's favorite ! She will be turning 12 next year on April 14 and we are already contemplating to have a kid’s party for her, her classmates, church friends and our neighbor’s children. Hhhhmmmm...That would surely be a bit expensive but we agreed it would be worth the sacrifice and the joy our daughter would feel. It’s her special day and we want her to feel as special as she can be. And what would be one of our gifts? Of course imported premium chocolates! I’ve seen this gift for daughter idea and I admired it. Just think of two full frozen gourmet dipped fancy berries set on her birthday table. That would blow our daughter away with excitement and joy!
