Blessing the Home

The Binding Prayer :

In the Name of Jesus Christ, and by the power of His Blood and His Cross, we bind all spirits in the air, and the fire and the water, in the ground and the underground and the nether world, and we bind any satanic forces of nature. We bind all curses, hexes, or spells, or any witchcraft or occult activity. We bind the interaction and interplay of spirits. And we claim the protection of the shed Blood of Jesus Christ over this house and grounds, and over every person here. We call upon Michael the archangel and his company of angels to surround this place, making it both safe and sacred. And we call out to you, O Holy Spirit. Come now and fill this place, never to leave! We pray in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

The Goodness Of God (Romans 2:4-11)

1. Many people live their lives with little regard to the goodness of God...
   a. Unaware of how gracious God has been and is willing to be toward them.
   b. Unaware of how their neglect will one day come back to haunt them.

2. Have you given much thought to the goodness of God?
   a. The many blessings He bestows?
   b. The consequences if you fail to respond properly?

[One passage of Scripture that ought to give us pause is the one written in Romans 2:4-11, in which Paul expounds upon "The Goodness of God."  From verse 4, we can glean some things about...]

I. THE NATURE OF HIS GOODNESS
   A. HIS RICHES...
      1. He is rich in grace (unmerited favor) - Ephesians 1:7
      2. He is rich in mercy (kindness, sympathy) - Ephesians 2:4
      3. He is rich in supplying need - Philippians 4:19
      4. He is rich in giving things to enjoy - 1Timothy 6:17
      5. He is rich in the strength He provides the Christian - Ephesians 3:16, 21

   B. HIS FORBEARANCE (PATIENCE, SELF-CONTROL, MERCY)
      1. "Forbearance" (anoche) means "a holding back" - ISBE
      2. We see God's forbearance...
         a. In the days of Israel - cf. Psalm 78:38
         b. In our present day (since the fullness of God's wrath has yet to come)

   C. HIS LONGSUFFERING (TOLERANT)...
      1. "Longsuffering" (makrothumia) describes “a slowness in avenging wrath" - Strong's
      2. We see God suffering long...
         a. In the days of Noah, prior to the flood - cf. 1Peter 3:20
         b. In our present day, prior to the Day of Judgment - cf. 2 Peter 3:9-15a

[The Psalmist summarizes well the nature of God's goodness:  "But You, O
Lord, are a God full of compassion, and gracious, Longsuffering and abundant in mercy and truth." (Psalm 86:15).

Taylor's Guitar

After spending 20 years with our church’s worship band playing the keyboards, I decided to shift to playing an acoustic guitar. I like the classic sound of playing one and our family just enjoys singing 70’s to 90’s songs and melodies. My mom would usually lead the singing and my two sisters would follow. I would ask my sister to buy me a taylor guitars at musicians friend and that would be one of the prized catch I could have. And my son would also like to play it. Wishing I could have it as a birthday gift this May.

Can You Trust God with the Promises He has Spoken to You

God said to Abraham years earlier, “You are going to have a son. It’s going to happen.” Did it happen the next day, or during the next ten years? No, but one day Isaac was born in fulfillment of God’s promise.

Further God said, “Not only are you going to have a son; all the world will be blessed through your son Isaac and his descendants.” That was the promise God had given Abraham. Jesus said about Abraham, “He saw My day, and he rejoiced.” Abraham saw it on Mount Moriah. That’s where God gave him a vision of the Messiah Who one day would take away the sins of the world. Prov. 18:30 “As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is proven: he is a shield to all those that trust in him.”

Conclusion :

“You have trusted Him in a few things, and He has not failed you. Trust Him now for everything, and see if He does not do for you exceeding abundantly above all that you could ever have asked or thought, not according to your power or capacity, but according to His own mighty power, that will work in you all the good pleasure of His most blessed will. You find no difficulty in trusting the Lord with the management of the universe and all the outward creation, and can your case be any more complex or difficult than these, that you need to be anxious or troubled about His management of it?” - Hannah Whitall Smith

"He chose me; therefore I am His responsibility." That is trust!

BHCCCI Family Camp 2013

Our church family camp is coming so soon and everybody are so excited already. For the past two years we were not able to conduct this annual activity since all the camp sites in our city and the neighboring provinces were already fully-booked on our desired date. This taught us a lesson, so early last year we booked " Mount Moriah" in advance. The newest camp site which can cater a thousand of delegates. As the member of the camp committee, we planned to make this camp extra special by having a photo booth, personalized water bottles for souvenir and other memorabilia that each delegate can take home after the camp. We are planning to have diverse activities where each can learn, enjoy and have fun. Praying for wisdom as we are finalizing the details  of this 4-day family camp.

Can You Trust God with the Possessions He Has Given You?

My Mid-week Fellowship Preaching : January 16,2013

POSSESSIONS (something owned) – Property, belonging, wealth, goods, assets…

Abraham was a hundred years old when Isaac was born. Can you trust God with your possessions? Sometimes we say we are willing to give up everything for the Lord, but are we willing to give it up to the Lord? There’s a big difference between giving up something for the Lord and giving it to the Lord.

God had given Abraham a priceless possession and then asked for it back. It was the test of Abraham’s faith because he loved both Isaac and God. It is not enough to give God a place in our life, or importance, or priority. God wants to have preeminence. Is there anyone, anything, or any blessing that we love more than God? Is it possible that Abraham was beginning to love the blessing more than the Blesser, the gift more than the Giver? Was his world now getting more wrapped up in Isaac than the One who gave Isaac in the first place?

We love the blessings God has given our country more than we love God Himself. He has blessed us with liberty, prosperity and technology. But many timese we seem to be more in love with the gifts of this world than we are of the One who created the world in the first place. That same attitude flourishes among Christians today; it is called apathy (lack of concern, indifference, laziness, boredom). In Malachi 2:3 God says, “If you don’t listen, I will turn your blessings into curses.” Thus we suffer from immorality, ungodliness, perversion, murder of the unborn, the effects of pornography, and a careless attitude.

Surviving Heart Attach When You Are Alone

I spotted this image on a post in facebook today and I was reminded with the same article that was claimed as a hoax. For over a decade, good-intentioned netizens have circulated stories that promote coughing while alone and suffering symptoms of a heart attack. This sort of “self-CPR” seems like it makes sense but it is there any truth to it? According to my brother who is a physician, the procedure is not proven yet.

I search the internet today also and found that the American Heart Association issued a statement about this fake procedure, known as “cough CPR” : The AHA does not endorse “cough CPR,” a coughing procedure widely publicized on the Internet. This “technique” is not promoted by any major heart or medical entity and could do more harm than good according to my brother. If you think you are having a heart attack, get medical attention immediately, and consider chewing an aspirin while you wait for their arrival, or while someone drives you to the hospital.

Prevention is better than cure , so why not take heart disease supplements instead, do your regular exercise, eat foods that are good for the heart and live a healthy lifestyle.

Dual Diagnosis Treatment

It was disheartening. My dear friend’s brother suffered from alcohol and drug problem at an early age. It all started with peer pressure from school during his high school days. From then on, he just drove straight to hell. He stopped schooling, got into numerous street fights and brawls, served a time in jail. A wasted life of a young man who could be a successful doctor had he been able to pursue his studies in college. If he could have undergone a dual diagnosis treatment, then I believe that he has a big chance of getting out from that addiction. My prayers is for him to totally surrender  his vices and addiction to God..for nothing is impossible with Him.

Wordless Wednesday

The greatest give I have !! I love you loverdove and kids! The best is yet to come for us this 2013. Just keep on believing!

Online Job Application

The opening of the newest department store in our city created quite a stir as hundreds of job seekers lined to land a job which the store is offering such as store associates, customer service representatives, sales managers, assistant managers and store managers. They even made an online application to all who are interested to join their company just like the bon ton application online. This business created hundreds of employment opportunities for our fellow citizens here and it is such a blessing as well to many families as workers are offered the above the minimum wage required by the government.I hope all my friends who applied for the different jobs online will be accepted.

BHCCCI Family Dedication Prayer

Our Almighty Father in heaven, as we are entering into year 2013,I (we) come to you with gratitude for all your love and faithfulness. We exist by your power and for your glory.
We acknowledge that we reach this far because of your grace and loving kindness.

As a family, We thank you for the year 2012, the joys and the pains, the victories and defeats, those experiences that made us a better person and not a bitter one. The tears and the laughters, the sicknesses and healings, the lack and the over flowing blessings that you showered to us.

And as we enter the year 2013, as a family, we now confess and repent from all of our sins, known and unknown. We now confess the sins of our forefathers. In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, We ask You to break as we renounce the power of all generational sins, iniquities, and curses that were passed down to us by the sins or actions of others. We now renounce and ask you to break and loose our family from all demonic subjection that would seek to influence or control our family in any way contrary to the Word or will of God. We claim release and freedom through the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. We pray that our children would fear You, and that from now on righteousness would be the heritage for our family, for our children, and for our future generations.

Today, We re-dedicate all we own and do; our lands, houses, our vocation, and all that we earn, may all this be yours, may We experience richness of your blessing as we glorify you and as we offer all that we have back to you.

And in this divine ordained moment,
Allow us oh God to re-dedicate to you each member of our family.
Accept each one of us, and may every beat of our hearts be an act of love for you.
In the name of Jesus and By the power of His Blood,
may we be strengthened  and be sustained in our daily difficulties.
May we be a sign, to each other and to all with whom we come in contact of your life in us.

Bless our home, dear God

Bless our joys and sufferings.

Bless every moment of our lives in this new year that you give to us.

May the best of our 2012 be the worst in comparison to what you have prepared and what we are going to receive from you this year dear Heavenly Father.

This we asked and thanks in the name of your son, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, amen and amen.

A new Heart for 2013
