Your Printing Solution

Our church is in dire need of Web To Print Solutions to the growing needs of our daughter churches to promote its programs and projects. There are many advantages to the use of a web-to-print system in our church which we can use such as the printing of graphic designs and the ability of the admin office to have the general public even the brethren to access the church catalog where we can have last-minute changes to our prints as needed. This might be a new idea to the church as of now but I believe that this system will also enhance our capability to connect with our daughter churches as we expand.

Ecclesiastes 11:9-12:1 1. In Ecclesiastes we find the perspective of one who searched for the meaning of life... a. The "Preacher" (Solomon) examined wisdom, riches, and pleasure b. He shared the fruits of his search: what he saw as vanity, and what was good 2. To those who are young, he offered the following exhortations... a. Rejoice in your youth – Ecc. 11:9 b. Remove sorrow and evil from your youth – Ecc. 11:10 c. Remember God in your youth – Ecc. 12:1 d. Reflect upon what is coming – Ecc. 12:1 3. I doubt that many young people would take issue with the first exhortation... a. They gladly rejoice in their youth b. They are happy to let their hearts cheer them, to walk in the ways of their hearts and in the sight of their eyes 4. But the remaining exhortations...? a. To remove sorrow and evil, remember God, reflect upon what is to come? b. Doesn't that take the joy out of youth?

Blue Monday

The personalized greetings I received from my children during Father's day .
( My entry for Blue Monday)

Daily Devotional

Our day would not be complete with out our family devotionals. Today, we got our lesson from the daily bread. Below is the excerpt of our devotionals :

Simulators are tremendous teaching tools—helpful in preparing the aspiring pilot to take command of an actual aircraft. The devices, however, have a shortcoming. They create an artificial experience in which the full-blown pressures of handling a real cockpit cannot be fully replicated. Real life is like that, isn’t it? It cannot be simulated. There is no safe, risk-free environment in which we can experience life’s ups and downs unharmed. The risks and dangers of living in a broken world are inescapable. That’s why the words of Jesus are so reassuring. He said, “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). Although we can’t avoid the dangers of life in a fallen world, we can have peace through a relationship with Jesus. He has secured our ultimate victory.

What is an anti-fatigue floor mat ?

What is an anti fatigue floor mat ? Hhhhmmm…I might as well recommend this to my dear sister. After four years of study his doctoral degree in psychology at the Adventist University of the Philippines, my dear sister graduated with flying colours. And you know won’t believe this if I say the she’s the Suma Cum Laude of their batch! She told me once that her study is quite stressful. The researches, assignments, and other stuffs required by each subjects would drain her brain! But what if she will be given an anti fatigue floor mat? Isn’t that a good new to her?

The professional drummer

My friend who’s been with his band for 30 years is still active until today. He started his career as a professional drummer at an early age of 15. His father was his mentor and a very strict disciplinarian, he once told us. The years of discipline bear fruit as my friend mastered his drumming skills and was already a part of a touring band group that played in Asian countries. His band mates today wished to buy brand new amplifiers just like the vox amps at musicians friend  we saw in the net. They are planning to buy it in Manila if this is available so they could upgrade their amplifiers. They are planning to buy amplifiers for their guitars and keyboards.

Fronting Marina Bay Sands

My favorite pose at Marina Bay Sands Hotel, Singapore

From Korg Trinity to Studiologic Numa

For almost 14 years now, the church’s Main worship band used a Korg Trinity keyboards. We have been to a lot of places and concerts using this electronic musical instrument and it never failed to give us the right sound for every instrument we want to play with. For fourteen years, it has travelled to a lot of places and we want to buy a new one.

This time, we considered a studiologic Numa Piano for the band. We would like to invest on the best brand we could buy. We know and we believe that when it comes to worship, we must offer the best so we decided to buy a quality and durable keyboard that will last a long, long time.

What s Friend we have in JESUS!

We had our  family devotional today and the topic is  about  JESUS being just an imaginary friend. So I though of posting the lyric of one of my favorite hymnal song which I learned playing in the Piano when I was just 9 years old.. If you have not yet here the song.. see the lyrics and surely you will be reminded of what a friend we have in JESUS

  1. What a friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bear!
    What a privilege to carry
    Everything to God in prayer!
Oh, what peace we often forfeit,
Oh, what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry
    Everything to God in prayer!
  2. Have we trials and temptations?
    Is there trouble anywhere?
    We should never be discouraged—
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Can we find a friend so faithful,
Who will all our sorrows share?
    Jesus knows our every weakness;
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
  3. Are we weak and heavy-laden,
Cumbered with a load of care?
    Precious Savior, still our refuge—
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?
Take it to the Lord in prayer!
In His arms He’ll take and shield thee,
Thou wilt find a solace there.
  4. Blessed Savior, Thou hast promised
    Thou wilt all our burdens bear;
May we ever, Lord, be bringing
All to Thee in earnest prayer.
    Soon in glory bright, unclouded,
There will be no need for prayer—
    Rapture, praise, and endless worship
Will be our sweet portion there.

Soar up HIgh

If our goal is merely serving for the Lord, we may burn out somewhere along the line because of the trials, temptations and challenges. But if our purpose, is to know Christ and love Him, we’ll find that He will give us the strength to make Him known to others. Let us be joyful in pressing on in the strength that God gives!
